Scrubs
Historically, people used sand to physically exfoliate their skin. Luckily, today, we have three proven exfoliating options for removing surface skin cells:
- Physical - cleansers, scrubs, manual microderm, loofahs, exfoliating gloves, etc.
- Chemical - alpha & beta hydroxy acids (glycolic, lactic, salicylic), TCA, phenol, etc.
- Mechanical - microdermabrasion, brush machines, etc.
Scrubs provide a valuable contribution to achieving healthy skin. They contain abrasive particles that remove dead, dry cells on the top layer of skin. For best results, keep your scrub in the shower and use it two to three times every week. Scrubs deliver excellent benefits:
- Encourage cell regeneration by removing outer skin layer
- Polishes and softens skin
- Perform deep cleansing & removes excess oil
- Evens out skin tone
- Lightly scrubbing skin improves circulation
